Foodie Adventures | Kuya J's Halo-Halo Espesyal

On my first ever niece's 5th Month celebration, we celebrated it with the family in Kuya J's in Fairview Terraces. I am particularly excited because I have been wanting to taste their Halo-Halo espesya. I heard mixed reactions and reviews about it and I want to try it myself.

That's the whole family and the cake!

I won't review the foods we ate because most of you already probably tasted them. They're just typical pinoy foods, although the buttered scallops are to die for!

Anyway, back to the Halo-Halo espesyal.

The Halo-Halo as well as the Saging con yelo are priced at Php110. The serving is big! Fit for two people. We ordered a total of four Hal-halo and two saging con yelo.

The reason why I wanted to try this is because of the shaved milk ice. I really think that it's something that makes the hal-halo special.

I don't have a complicated palate. I love anything ice cream or cold. So yes, amidst my sister and my other cousin's 'negative' comments towards it, I love this Halo-halo. It's not too sweet, and the shaved milk ice stayed until I almost finished it. It's a monumental moment for me because finally, I was able to try it and I wasn't disappointed.

The only thing that we really didn't like about eating there is that, one female staff was so stiff. Everyone who served us was joining in on our jokes, or either smiling or laughing too. But there was this one female staff that's so stiff. It's a little intimidating and I know, people has their own problems and stuff going on with their life, I just wished she smile more.
