Quirky Kitchen: Lomi Soup (Recipe)

1 Pack Lomi = 22php
1/2 Kg. Pork or Giniling = 90-100php
Cabbage or Pechay = 20-30php
Pork Cubes - 6php
Garlic, Onion, Pepper and Salt.

Prepare Lomi.

A lot of people mistakes lomi as something like the usual noodles, but it actually needs preparation. If not, it'll taste bitter. To prepare the lomi noodles, it needs to be put in a container with lukewarm water. After a few minutes, wash the lomi noodles with cold water and let it set.

Saute garlic and onion then the pork or giniling. After the pork or the giniling is light brown, pour at least 1 liter of water. Wait for it to boil then put in the lomi noodles. Use pork cubes, pepper and salt to season it to your taste. You can tell if the lomi noodles is already cooked if the color of the noodles became darker or you can check if it's already soft. A minute or two before you put out the fire, put in the sliced cabbage or pechay, put in the lid and wait.

This recipe can accommodate 3-4 servings.
